Split-Screen Writing Comes to AuthorsDrop

AuthorsDrop now includes a split-screen facility, giving writers a practical way to keep two useful parts of a project visible while they work.

AuthorsDrop now includes a split-screen facility for writers who need to keep more than one part of a project in view.

Long-form writing frequently involves looking backwards while moving forwards. You may want an earlier chapter visible while revising a later one, a character note beside a scene, or another part of the manuscript available for reference without repeatedly leaving the page you are working on.

Split screen is intended to make that kind of work less disruptive.

The improvement is part of a wider effort to make AuthorsDrop feel like a writing workspace rather than simply a document editor. The aim is not to add complexity for its own sake, but to make common tasks in novels, scripts and other long projects easier to manage inside one application.

We will continue refining the facility as writers use it and tell us where it helps, where it gets in the way and what would make it more useful.
