Yes, AuthorsDrop has cloud syncing

AuthorsDrop uses Secure Sync for cross-device synchronisation. Your current device saves the working copy first. AuthorsDrop then encrypts the project on that device and stores an encrypted synchronisation copy so the same library can be used on web, Mac, iPhone and iPad.

Device-first, encrypted synchronisation

On web and Mac you can optionally keep normal .bwrt project files in a computer folder as an extra backup you control. That folder is separate from Secure Sync.

How saving works

  1. Your edit is saved on the device you are using.
  2. The project is encrypted on that device.
  3. Secure Sync stores the encrypted synchronisation copy.
  4. A second device checks for the newer revision before uploading another change.

There is no permanent PC, Mac, iPhone or iPad master device. The safest way to switch devices is to wait for Synced, then open AuthorsDrop on the next device and let it finish synchronising before you type.

Recovery code

Keep your Secure Sync recovery code somewhere safe. It can be needed to unlock the encrypted library on a new or recovered device. If the code is unavailable, AuthorsDrop can still be used locally on that device, but the encrypted Secure Sync library remains locked until the correct recovery information is available.
