AuthorsDrop Press

When a prose manuscript is ready to look like a book, open Press from the project header. You pick a structure for your book type; typeface, chapter openings, and paragraph style update together. A preview page on the right shows the result as you change settings.

Book layout

Choose a layout matched to the kind of book you’re finishing — for example an epic / fantasy structure with large ornamental chapter titles, a literary body face, and drop caps. The layout menu describes each option so you can see what changes before you commit.

Trim size

Common trade sizes are available (such as 6 × 9 in standard trade). The preview follows the trim you select so page breaks match what you’ll export.

Chapter style, headers, and scene breaks

• Chapter style — e.g. drop cap openings
• Headers — optional page numbers
• Scene break — ornament (❦) or other break styles

Front matter

Toggle the pages you want at the front of the book:

• Title page
• Copyright
• Dedication
• Table of contents

The live preview shows those pages (for example a title page with “A NOVEL” and your book title) before you export.

Export

Export EPUB for ebooks or print-ready PDF for the trim and theme you chose. Press is for prose books. Screenplays and stage plays still use Compile (plain text, Markdown, Word, or PDF with script formatting).
