No Subscription

AuthorsDrop is not a monthly writing plan. You try the full product for 30 days, then pay $89 USD once (or your local equivalent) for lifetime access on that account — web, Mac, and iPhone included.

What “lifetime access” means

One unlock for your AuthorsDrop account. You keep editing, importing, compiling, and using AuthorsDrop Press without a renewing bill. We don’t move paid users onto a cheaper “legacy” tier and a new subscription later — the offer is pay once after the trial.

What happens if you don’t pay

When the trial ends, editing locks until you pay or redeem a friend code. Your projects stay saved in the folder or Dropbox you chose. Nothing is deleted for waiting. You can come back later and unlock the same account.

Your files aren’t held hostage

Manuscripts are stored on your computer or in your Dropbox — not on AuthorsDrop servers. Even without an active unlock, you still have the files in that location. Set up Save location early so a new machine can reconnect to the same folder.

Where the one-time payment happens

• Website: authorsdrop.com/billing (Stripe) after you sign in
• Mac App Store: In-App Purchase for lifetime access, which unlocks the same account on the web
• Already paid elsewhere: sign in — you should not need to buy a second time

Friend codes

If someone shares a friend code with you, redeem it in the app. That skips payment entirely and still isn’t a subscription.
