Scrivener Alternative for Writers Who Want a Cleaner Workspace
Looking for a Scrivener alternative? AuthorsDrop combines Binder-style organisation, planning, research and scripts with AuthorsDrop Press for book formatting, EPUB and print-ready output.
Scrivener is a respected writing application, but it is not the only option for writers who need structure. Many authors want the same kind of project organisation with a cleaner, more modern workflow.
AuthorsDrop is built for writers who need chapters, scenes, research and planning, but who also want the project to continue beyond the draft. For prose books, AuthorsDrop Press adds book layouts, trim sizes, front matter, EPUB export and print-ready PDF production inside the same platform.
What to look for in a Scrivener alternative
A serious alternative should not simply provide a blank editor. It should help organise the work.
Look for:
- Binder-style project structure
- chapters and scenes
- research folders
- character records
- planning views
- export options
- support for more than one writing format
AuthorsDrop focuses on those areas.
Why AuthorsDrop may suit you
AuthorsDrop gives writers a structured workspace without requiring them to assemble their own system from separate files and notes. It is designed to help you keep moving through the project rather than managing the project manually.
